The Electricity and Energy Department will launch a legacy project focused on clean cooking.
Building on the G20 Clean Cooking Outcome, the initiative aims to unlock investment and transform the way millions of families cook.
The Legacy Project will provide a model for clean and sustainable cooking that can be spread across the continent.
The department's efforts are paving the way for cleaner air, better health, and a brighter tomorrow for Africa.
Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy Samantha Graham-Maré says with the cost of electricity going up they are looking for cheaper alternatives to electricity for cooking:

KwaZulu-Natal born Professor Michele Dougherty, has become the first woman in 350 years to be appointed Astronomer Royal in the UK.
With a lifelong passion for space, Dougherty has played a key role in major NASA and European Space Agency missions and now chairs the Science and Technology Facilities Council.
She hopes her appointment will inspire young people to pursue their dreams in science.
