St Mary’s RC Primary School has earned the title of Most Sustainable School in the Western Cape!The announcement came at the Sustainable Schools Western Cape Rewards Ceremony in Cape Town, celebrating the school’s long-term commitment, whole-school participation, and consistent eco-friendly culture.Despite being a low-fee-paying school with limited resources, St Mary’s has shown remarkable perseverance. Their Eco-Club, led by Grade 6 and 7 learners, spearheads initiatives across Production, Consumption & Waste, and Community & Social Responsibility, making this recognition especially well deserved.

Disability sport in South Africa has received a major lift after SASCOC increased funding for the South African Sports Association for the Physically Disabled. This includes R60 million to R100 million over the next four years.
