The University of Pretoria has launched a five-year research programme to find solutions to climate, water and food challenges across Africa.
Researchers from different fields will work together on issues such as drought, floods, water shortages and food security.
The programme will also bring researchers together with government, policymakers and other partners.
The aim is to develop practical solutions while training the next generation of African researchers.

The festival will take place from the 9 to the 13th of December.

CapCut partners with One Club for creatives

CapCut and The One Club for Creativity have formed a global partnership to give young creatives, students and content creators access to competitions, training and international opportunities.
CapCut will provide a brief for the Young Ones Student Awards and present ADC Young Guns 24, a competition for creatives aged 30 and under.
The partnership will also include online and in-person events, creator content and support for several awards programmes.
The two organisations say the partnership will help creatives build skills and prepare for the growing use of artificial intelligence in the industry.
