A Johannesburg wellness breakfast brought women together to focus on their wellbeing and take a break from the responsibilities they carry every day.
Hosted by Norleen Zulu, the Woman Within Wellness Breakfast encouraged women to reflect on their roles as mothers, caregivers, professionals, entrepreneurs and leaders, while creating space for honest conversations and personal growth.
The event included interactive sessions led by speakers including Raeesa Essop Tayob, Anesu Mautsa, Nomfundo Madonsela, Dr Masooda Essop and Thato Ncube. Women were encouraged to release emotional burdens, challenge long held beliefs and reconnect with themselves.

South Africa’s leading researchers have been recognised at the 2026 National Research Foundation Awards, held at the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape on Thursday.
The winners have played significant roles in their fields, with their research addressing challenges facing South Africa and the wider African continent.
The NRF has also increased its support for postgraduate students, with funding for women rising from 53% to 61% and overall support becoming more representative.

Red Nose Day is returning to South Africa in 2027, with SuperSport Schools joining the campaign to bring learners, teachers, parents and school communities together through sport, education and fun.
The campaign will carry the message Less Poverty, More Possibility, encouraging schools to take part in creative challenges and activities that support children facing disadvantage.
The Red Nose Day Schools Challenge will launch in the first quarter of next year, with schools able to create their own events and activities.
The campaign aims to show how sport, education and community support can help young people build confidence, resilience and opportunities for the future.
