The Smarter Mobility Africa Summit took place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg this week.
As the continent’s leading platform for mobility and transport innovation, the summit brought together senior city officials, transport operators, technology innovators, investors, and policymakers to accelerate the shift toward more inclusive, clean and efficient mobility systems across Africa.

The University of Johannesburg’s Faculties of Science and Engineering hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics outreach event, to showcase opportunities in science and innovation.
100 learners and 16 teachers from underserved communities visited UJ’s APK Campus,
where they were introduced to academic and career prospects in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The event was made possible through partnerships with the Chayil Foundation and the UJ Habitable Planet Schools Programme, with sponsorships from the Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority.
