Joburg seeks public input on e-hailing policy

The City of Johannesburg is calling on residents to participate in a stakeholder engagement process, by taking part in the development of an E-Hailing Management Policy.
The E-Hailing Management Policy will guide how e-hailing and scooter delivery services like Uber, Bolt, Uber Eats, Mr D & more operate in the city.
The policy will focus on key areas including Sandton CBD, Rosebank CBD, Randburg CBD, the Inner City, Soweto, Cresta Mall, and Mall of the South.
The City will invite the public to share their experiences and challenges about e-hailing services.

Transnet ready for boost in fruit exports at Cape Town Terminal

Transnet says it is ready to handle increased fruit export volumes at the Cape Town Container Terminal, which serves as a key link between Western Cape producers and international markets.
This comes as the deciduous fruit season has been forecasted to increase by three-percent in export table grapes, pomegranates, stone fruits, berries, apples, and pears from this month until the end of March 2026.
In the 2025/2026 financial year, Transnet Port Terminals plans to spend four-billion-rand in five terminals across KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape and Eastern Cape.
