Mamelodi Youth Leader Joins Commonwealth Gender Equality Network

Neo Mohlabeng-Cholo, a 20-year-old entrepreneur and author from Mamelodi in Pretoria, has been appointed to the Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network (CYGEN).
CYGEN brings together young experts from the 56 member nations to amplify youth voices in gender equality discussions at local, national, and international levels.
Mohlabeng-Cholo will serve in this youth-led role until the age of 30.
As founder of Mosetsana Pads, he works to fight menstrual stigma and expand access to essential health products.
He also serves as Innovation and Talent Manager for the Commonwealth Youth Council African Region and has been recognised nationally through roles such as the Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Taskforce for StartUp20 South Africa.
Through CYGEN, he plans to advocate for the inclusion of youth voices, share best practices, and influence gender equality policies across Commonwealth countries.
