Soshanguve learners build their own electric vehicle

Learners at Lethabong Maths, Science and ICT School of Specialisation in Soshanguve have unveiled a home built electric vehicle called the EV LMSI 1000.
The Gauteng Department of Education says the project reflects strong partnerships aimed at advancing innovation, skills development and quality education, with international media also visiting the school to observe the work.
The vehicle is part of the school’s focus on automotive studies, science and ICT, helping learners develop skills linked to future mobility and engineering.
The institution has also produced earlier innovations including solar powered transport and autonomous vehicle models.
