Senior DJ group brings energy to European festival stage
Teaser / Tailpiece story
A group of female DJs aged over 60, known as Forever Fresh, is gaining attention after performing at a festival in Cologne, Germany, where organisers looked to include older performers in the lineup.
The project began after festival organisers realised there were few opportunities for women over 60 in electronic music and invited interested seniors to train as DJs.
Participants learned mixing, transitions and live performance skills, with some starting from scratch and never having used music equipment before.
The group has since performed at several events, including the Cologne festival, playing a mix of EDM and pop to enthusiastic crowds.
