Cheryl-Lyn’s Rescue Organisation in Cape Town has received a R150,000 donation in honour of the late author Wilbur Smith, made by his wife, Niso.

Founded over a decade ago, the organisation rescues animals from informal settlements and local communities, relying on donations to continue its work.
