Mall of the South in Johannesburg, through its sculpture competition, has celebrated creativity and made environmental responsibility a meaningful part of community life.
Local artists transformed waste into 10 sculptures displayed in the main court, giving old materials a new purpose while promoting environmental awareness.
Visitors voted for their favourite pieces, and the winners each received R20,000.
The top sculptures are now permanently displayed at Entrance 5, showing how discarded materials can be creatively reused.
