( It’s good news because UJ students gain access to world-class education and the university strengthens its global research partnerships.)

*sound*
( It’s good news because planting these trees helps fight climate change, provides cleaner air, and creates greener, healthier spaces for the community.)

Story Three

HospiVision, a Pretoria-based non-profit, has reached a major milestone, providing spiritual care and support to more than 200,000 patients, families, and healthcare workers in public hospitals across Gauteng and the Western Cape since 2009.
In 2025 alone, the organisation supported over 45,600 people, ran skills development programs for 131 community members, and provided meals to more than 4,300 people through its soup kitchen. HospiVision also facilitated the burial of over 20 unclaimed individuals and trains future mental health professionals through its Hospital Chaplaincy Programme with the University of Pretoria.
(it’s good news because HospiVision’s work improves patient wellbeing, supports communities, and brings dignity to people in public healthcare.)

and Finally
Three firefighters in Washington went beyond the call of duty after an Instacart delivery driver was involved in a car accident.
Central Pierce Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene and found the driver uninjured, but their damaged vehicle meant the grocery order couldn’t be delivered. Instead of cancelling the trip, the firefighters stepped in, transporting the bags themselves to make sure the customer still received their food and essentials.
The department says the simple act reflects their commitment to serving the community in any way they can.
(This is good news because firefighters went beyond their emergency duties to support someone in need.)
