Innovation and Sustainability at the African Critical Minerals Summit

This year's African Critical Minerals Summit will focus on how Africa can use innovation and sustainability to boost its role in the global economy.
This is according to the summit's Director Tshegofatso Motsoenyane.
The 3rd annual conference is set to take place later this month at the Sandton Convention centre bringing together leading mine experts to tackle the challenges in the industry, promote responsible practices and encourage innovation and investments.
Meanwhile speaking at the G20 Critical Minerals Stakeholder Engagement in Johannesburg last week, Mineral and Petroleum Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe called for intention in realizing that Africa has the potential to play an important role meeting the global demand for critical minerals on the just energy transition:

Gogo's To Launch A Community-Driven Initiative

Ride-hailing platform, inDrive has partnered with goGOGOgo to launch a community-driven initiative.
The project focuses on empowering older women, known as gogos, from Alexandra and surrounding areas with digital and mobility literacy skills.
Last week the initiative held a hands-on training session at Safe-Hub Alexandra, teaching gogos how to use smartphones and navigate the inDrive app.
This training is crucial, as many gogos are raising grandchildren on limited incomes and need tools for independence and safety.
Ashif Black, inDrive's Country Representative, says empowering gogos with digital skills helps their safety and independence.
