Ekurhuleni unveils R65.5 Billion budget for 2025/26

Ekurhuleni’s Finance MMC Jongizizwe Dlabathi has presented a R65 billion budget for the 2025/26 financial year.

Dlabathi delivered his budget speech on Thursday at the Ekurhuleni city council in Germiston.

Much like the City of Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, has seen an increase in its annual budget, with the bulk of its revenue coming from services delivered to residential and commercial customers.

The MMC said there would be no increase in property rates or municipal bus ticket prices.
The Metro which employs over 21 thousand workers, delivers services to 1.5 million households.

Tyla to host 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

South African superstar Tyla has been announced as the host of the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Tyla will be the first African artist to host the global awards show which celebrates the biggest stars in television, music, film and digital media.

The event will air on Wednesday the 25 June, at 5pm Central African Time on Nickelodeon.

The awards will broadcast from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, in California.
