17 UJ representatives to fly SA flag high at World University Games

The University of Johannesburg is celebrating 17 of its exceptional athletes, coaches, and support staff, who have been named as part of Team South Africa in the upcoming FISU World University Games.
The prestigious international student competition will take place in Germany from the 16th of July, showcasing 18 sporting codes across 23 venues, celebrating sport, science, and culture.
Basketball players Sbongakonke Mkhwanazi and Thabang Ndlovu, are leading the University's strong contingent, alongside 11 talented student-athletes from the UJ Athletics Club.

Tyla to host 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

South African superstar Tyla has been announced as the host of the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Tyla will be the first African artist to host the global awards show which celebrates the biggest stars in television, music, film and digital media.
The event will air on Wednesday the 25 June, at 5pm Central African Time on Nickelodeon.
The awards will broadcast from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, in California.
