More funding promised for disabled sports in South Africa

Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie has pledged increased funding to support athletes with disabilities, a move aimed at boosting sporting codes across the country.
The announcement came during the South African Sports Association for the Physically Disabled National Championships in Stellenbosch, which features events such as para athletics, para judo, para cycling, powerlifting, para swimming, boccia, CP football and goalball, and also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
