Commuters travelling with the Sakhile Enkangala Taxi Association over the Easter weekend will pay normal fares, despite rising fuel prices.
The relief applies specifically to the busy Easter travel period, giving passengers on routes linking Ekangala, Bronkhorstspruit and parts of Tshwane greater cost certainty as they travel home, visit loved ones, or attend church services
The move is expected to ease pressure on families already managing higher food and electricity costs this holiday.

Retired neurosurgeon Dr André Hattingh is making a difference in the Little Karoo with his latest fundraising initiative, a 500 kilometre donkey cart journey supporting children who need specialist medical care.
Through Pediatric Care Africa, children in De Rust, Oudtshoorn and nearby rural communities are gaining access to surgeries, wheelchairs and treatment they might otherwise miss.
The donkey cart trip is the newest way Hattingh raises funds, adding to previous efforts such as motorbike rides, tractor trips and other community initiatives.
This journey focuses on providing specialised wheelchairs for children with severe disabilities and highlighting the challenges faced by families in remote areas.

Blue, a ragged tooth shark, has been released back into the ocean by the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, Western Cape, after eight years in their care.
Rescued in 2018 weighing just 26.6 kg and measuring 183 cm, she has grown to 201 kg and 295 cm.
Considered sexually mature, Blue may now contribute to the wild population of this critically endangered species.
The release took place at Struisbaai in the Western Cape, chosen for its healthy local shark population and links to migration routes along the Agulhas Bank.
Blue was carefully transported on a flatbed truck, fitted with acoustic tags, and accompanied into the sea by some of the team who rescued her.
