Pretoria based band Human Nebula has represented South Africa at the Wacken Metal Battle Finals in Germany, one of the world's biggest heavy metal competitions.
The group earned its place after winning the African title and performed alongside bands from 31 countries at the international event. They also used the opportunity to promote other African alternative artists to music fans from around the world.
The band is now awaiting the final results after proudly flying the South African flag on the global stage.

Communities are being encouraged to get behind the Special Olympics South Africa Summer Games, which will take place in the North West in August.
The call comes from Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Sindisiwe Chikunga, who says the games celebrate the talent, determination and achievements of athletes with intellectual disabilities.
She also praised the new documentary Catching the Wind, saying it promotes inclusion while encouraging more South Africans to support the athletes and the upcoming games.

GRUBhouse Glen Balad partnered with the Council for the Aged, Allen Park to host a burger fundraiser that brought the Kempton Park community together while raising money for older residents.
The initiative will help Allen Park provide meals, toiletries and other daily essentials for the more than 500 residents receiving independent living, assisted living and frail care services.
The successful partnership has also encouraged more community fundraising events to help the home continue providing quality care and support to its residents.
