Community art fundraiser raises thousands for Kempton Park SPCA
Story 1
A community art fundraiser has raised R8,550 for the Kempton Park SPCA after 42 artists painted portraits of Floki, a rescue dog adopted from the shelter.
The Paint for a PurPAWS event brought together artists and animal lovers for a day of creativity while raising funds to help care for dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes.
The fundraiser builds on a series of community events supporting animal welfare, with more initiatives planned later this year to benefit local rescue organisations.
