Energy Minister Says Energy Transitions Should Benefit All

Electricity and Energy Minister Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has emphasized that energy transitions must be fair for everyone ensuring that no one is left behind.
Yesterday the Energy Department convened the third G20 Energy Transitions Working Group meeting in Sun City in the North West.
The three-day meeting will see collaborations and knowledge sharing amongst global stakeholders about the role of nuclear energy, as the world tries to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Ramokgopa called for a fundamental overhaul of the global energy finance system to support vulnerable communities and developing economies:

SAA Launches Direct Cape Town-Mauritius Service

South African Airways will start direct flights from Cape Town to Mauritius on December 9, 2025.
The flight will operate three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with two convenient departure times.
A temporary adjustment will be made between mid-January and mid-March 2026, when the service will operate twice weekly, in line with seasonal demand.
In a statement the company says this new route will help boost tourism in South Africa and Mauritius.
