South Africans Encouraged To Participate In Sandton City's healing movement

Sandton City is encouraging South Africans to join its healing movement to help bring hope to those dealing with mental health issues and promote healing through creativity.
The Words That Heal campaign launched in partnership with the Riky Rick Foundation encourages people to share messages of hope and support for those struggling with mental health.
Members of the Public can join the movement by sending uplifting voice notes via WhatsApp to 063 980 5816 before 8 August 2025.
Selected messages will be featured in a curated song of hope, to be released on streaming platforms, raising funds for free youth therapy.

The Western Cape Health Department has partnered with the Smile Foundation, Tygerberg Hospital, and Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital to provide reconstructive surgeries for children with cleft and craniofacial conditions.
The initiative launched in line with National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month in July, is helping young patients gain a second chance at a healthier, more confident life.

Global streaming giant Netflix has officially launched the Screen-Craft Pathway programme, a groundbreaking on-the-job training initiative in South Africa.
Developed in partnership with the Gauteng Film Commission and the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism & Film Authority, this programme aims to nurture emerging talent in the country's film and television industry.
Under the programme 30 emerging creatives will be selected to receive hands-on training across various roles including pre‑production, production and post‑production.
