Forty Cape Town clothing and textile businesses have secured R1.35 million in new and repeat orders after completing a 12-month business development programme.
The Cape Acceler8 programme supported manufacturers with training, mentorship and business development.
The businesses employ more than 600 people, with 70 percent based in the Cape Flats.

The national selection games in Rustenburg, North West, determined the athletes and team members who will represent the country.
More than 6,000 athletes from over 170 countries will compete in 22 sports at the Games.
