The Rand Airport Airshow returned to Germiston on Sunday after a three year break, bringing aviation enthusiasts, families and aspiring pilots together for a day of aerial displays.
The programme featured aerobatic performances, historic aircraft and formation flying, while visitors could also view aircraft on the ground and learn more about aviation careers.
The event attracted large crowds and gave local businesses an opportunity to benefit from increased activity in the area.

In Mpumalanga, Perdekop SAPS and community partners visited Funduqhubeke Primary School on Thursday, donating school shoes and sanitary pads to learners.
In the Eastern Cape, Qumrha SAPS and community organisations visited residents at Mzomhle Old Age Home, where they discussed elder abuse, spent time with residents and offered messages of support.
