Future Economy Expo Opens Doors To Emerging Careers

The Future Economy and Career Expo brought Grade 11 and 12 learners together with universities, TVET colleges and industry leaders at the University of Johannesburg Business School.
Learners explored opportunities in artificial intelligence, fintech, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and entrepreneurship, while getting information on study programmes, bursaries and internships.
The expo also gave young people a chance to ask questions about admission requirements and the skills needed for changing careers.

Amajita Celebrate Third Consecutive COSAFA Title

Amajita are celebrating another COSAFA Under 20 triumph after beating hosts Mozambique 2 1 in the final in Maputo.
The victory secured South Africa’s third consecutive COSAFA title under coach Raymond Mdaka, with the team completing the tournament unbeaten.
Steven Mendes was the star of the campaign, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with six goals, while goalkeeper Takalani Mazhamba claimed the Golden Glove.
The win also secured South Africa’s qualification for next year’s Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana.
Coach Raymond Mdaka says he is proud of the boys and their achievement.

South Africa Wins 19 World Travel Awards Across Africa

South African travel and tourism businesses have picked up 19 awards in the Africa wide categories at the 2026 World Travel Awards in Zanzibar.
Cape Town was named Africa’s Leading City Destination, while FlySafair won Africa’s Leading Low Cost Airline and Sabi Sabi was named Africa’s Leading Private Game Reserve.
South Africa also received recognition for its hotels, safari companies, tour operators and conference destinations, with 30 local winners across the country specific categories.
