Bushy McKelvey and his Wheels of Hope team recently completed a 6,000-kilometre motorcycle journey across South Africa in 15 days to help amputees access prosthetic legs.
The project, started by Bushy and Dave Malherbe, supports individuals who cannot afford prosthetics, restoring mobility and independence.
Highlights included fitting five-year-old Libongwe in Port Elizabeth with prosthetic legs, allowing him to run and play for the first time.
The team also visited Durban, Upington, and other towns, assisting those affected by accidents or illness, while emphasizing that life continues beyond disability.
Bushy, a double amputee himself, says the work is ongoing, providing support and hope to people across the country throughout the year.
