Five talented young athletes from Boksburg Cardinals Baseball Club are set to make history after earning selection to South Africa’s first Under-15 Women’s National Baseball Team.
The young players will travel to the United States in July to compete in the prestigious Baseball for All tournament.
The tournament is recognised as the world’s largest baseball event dedicated exclusively to girls and young women.
The Cardinals players – Cailyn Smit, Peyton Watkins, Madison Botha, Shayla-Mae de Jager and Amberleigh de Kock have earned their places through outstanding performances at club. provincial and national level.
