Charity boxing event opens doors for rising talent
Story 1
A charity boxing event at Syringa Park is helping open doors for South Africa’s next generation of fighters.
The No Mercy Series Boxing for a Change brought together nearly 50 boxers for a full day of action, with multiple bouts aimed at giving rising talent valuable exposure.
Co organiser Tremayne Dunn says the tournament also raises funds to help promising fighters train in safe environments, especially those without the financial means.
She says the platform has already helped launch careers, with Vuyo Radebe and Andre Malumba progressing from white collar bouts to the professional ranks.
