Tshwane to host Gastronomy Africa 2026

City of Tshwane Mayoral committee member for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Sarah Mabotsa, says the metro will host the Gastronomy Africa 2026 conference.
The city secured the bid to stage the event in August.
The conference is expected to bring R6.7 million into the local economy.

Ashton Singh from KwaZulu-Natal placed second in the junior division.
Contestants competed using words from English and 21 African languages.
The team will compete at the World Spelling Bee Championships in Shanghai in July.
