Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie is set to officially launch South Africa’s cultural and creative industries clusters on Monday at Nirox Sculpture Park in Krugersdorp.
The initiative will formalise sector clusters across 17 creative disciplines, aiming to improve governance, expand access to funding and markets, and promote transformation and inclusion in the country’s arts and culture sector.
The clusters come after extensive consultations with cultural stakeholders and are designed to strengthen coordination, accountability, and professionalisation, helping the creative sector thrive across all provinces.
