As South Africa looks to strengthen job creation, PwC’s Faranani Rural Women Training Initiative is helping lead the way.
On June 18, 209 women graduated from the programme at a ceremony in Midrand, gaining practical skills in marketing, finance, and business strategy.
Since its launch 19 years ago, Faranani has empowered over 4,500 women from disadvantaged communities to become confident, independent entrepreneurs.
At the Midrand event, PwC Southern Africa CEO Shirley Machaba said the initiative reflects the company’s deep commitment to inclusive growth.

Higher Education Minister Nobuhle Nkabane has launched a R5 million Youth Enterprise Fund at Mopani TVET College in Limpopo.

Tribe Martial Arts Foundation, a local non-profit, raised R10 000 to cover his travel, gear, and competition costs.
