The Boksburg Advertiser has donated knitted items, balls of wool, crochet hooks and knitting needles to Helpende Hand Solidariteit to help keep families warm this winter.
The donations were collected through the Winter Wool Drive and will be used to make and distribute blankets, scarves and other warm clothing to families in need.
The wool and knitting supplies will also help volunteers continue making these items throughout the winter, extending support to more people during the colder months.

Cape Town Tourism has launched a new 12 month business learnership to help unemployed young people with disabilities become entrepreneurs.
The accredited programme will provide business training, mentorship and practical support, giving participants the skills to start and manage their own businesses.
Graduates will receive a nationally recognised New Venture Creation qualification and be equipped to identify business opportunities while contributing to South Africa's growing small business sector.
The initiative forms part of Cape Town Tourism's ongoing efforts to build a more inclusive tourism industry and create more economic opportunities for people with disabilities.
