Nomalanga “The Flame” Shozi will join Robot Boii as host of the 16th annual Last Dance Music Festival on New Year’s Eve.Shozi, who recently hosted the Miss South Africa 2025 grand finale, will front the popular event at Pietermaritzburg’s Royal Showgrounds as the country counts down to 2026.The festival will be broadcast live on SABC 1 from 9pm and promises electrifying performances and cultural celebration. The star-studded line-up includes DJ Maphorisa, Big Zulu, Dlala Thukzin, Mafikizolo, Professor, and several other top local artists.

South African singer Tyla has set a new record as the African female artist with the most solo entries on the US Billboard Hot 100. Her single “Chanel” debuted at number 94, marking her third solo entry. The song hit number one on both the US and UK Afrobeats charts and climbed to number 38 on Spotify’s global chart with over 31.9 million streams, driven largely by TikTok. Tyla joins a small group of South Africans on the Hot 100, including Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela.
