Over the past two years, Sandton Racquet Club has seen some exciting upgrades.
The highlight for 2025 is the completion of the club’s four padel courts, which are now open and ready for both members and visitors to enjoy. Club manager Drago Elez thanked the Johannesburg Property Company for approving the renovation. In 2026, the four tennis courts are set to be renovated and redesigned with multi-sport markings to support a variety of activities, including soccer and cricket academies, basketball, netball, martial arts, yoga, Pilates, and dance programmes.

Curro Rivonia is set to open its new M.A.D.D Centre in 2026, offering learners exciting new opportunities in Music, Arts, Drama and Dance.The facility is expected to become a cornerstone of the school’s cultural life, offering learners new opportunities for artistic expression and performance excellence.The Centre represents the school’s ongoing commitment to holistic education, where learners develop intellectually, emotionally and creatively.

The festive season has brought renewed energy to the Eastern Cape coastline, with beaches filling up as holidaymakers make the most of the summer break. Visitor numbers began to rise following inclement weather in the area last week, while sunny conditions have continued to attract beachgoers in Gqeberha.The province is home to several beaches that carry the prestigious Blue Flag status.
