Fuel prices set to drop in September
Story 1
Motorists can look forward to some relief at the pumps as fuel prices are set to decrease slightly next month.
Preliminary data from the Central Energy Fund indicates a possible 4 cents drop for a litre of 95-grade petrol while 93-grade will likely go down by 12 cents per litre.
Diesel is expected to drop by 55 cents per litre and paraffin will drop by 37 cents per litre.
The Minerals and Energy Department says these decreases are largely due to favourable rand/dollar exchange rates-and fairly contained global oil prices.
The department is expected to make adjustment announcement next week before taking effect on Wednesday.
