Public and private entities called to recruit 500 unemployed graduates for EPC

Deputy Minister Samantha Graham-Maré has called on public and private entities to help recruit 500 unemployed graduates for Energy Performance Certificate training.
Since its launch in 2020, 7-thousand-411 buildings have registered and 3-thousand-986 certificates were issued.
Gauteng leads with 1-thousand-740, followed by the Western Cape with 1-thousand-593.
The Minister says the EPC Skills Development Programme will equip graduates with data analysis skills and boost the creation of green jobs:

Distance For Difference celebrates 20 years with fundraising events

Non-profit organisation Distance For Difference is hosting two-exciting fundraising events to mark 20 years of making a difference in the lives of children.
The first event is the GRATITUDE Run, taking place in Stellenbosch on Heritage Day, 24-September.
Later, in October, the organisation will host THE-500 24-Hour Cycling and Spinning Challenge in Somerset West, where cyclists will aim to cover 500 kilometres in 24 hours.
Over the past two decades, the organisation has raised over R13 million for more than 60 charities across South Africa.

Gqeberha last week played host to the Rugby 4 Women Empowerment where some of region’s top female rugby talent was on show.
The event featured a variety of women's empowerment initiatives and workshops, including sessions on gender-based violence, period positivity, and self-defence.
The tournament, backed by the Kolisi Foundation, the Reeva Steenkamp Foundation and Gift of the Givers, aims to create meaningful opportunities while providing a platform for emerging players to compete at an elite level.
