Electricity and Energy Deputy Minister Samantha Graham-Maré has called on entities to participate in the Energy Performance Certificates Skills Development Programme that will not only provide job opportunities for young people but also help large buildings become energy efficient.
By hosting graduates with green skills, entities will have immediate access to resources that can assist in evaluating and improving the energy efficiency of their buildings.
This initiative aims to support the country's target of 60,000 Energy Performance Certificate registrations, with graduates deployed across the country.
The Minister says the programme will equip graduates with data analysis skills and boost the creation of green jobs:

The Woman of Stature Awards South Africa has officially opened nominations for its 2026 season, inviting female entrepreneurs and change-makers from diverse industries and communities to enter or be nominated.
The awards recognize women driving economic growth, creating jobs, and transforming communities nationwide.
The competition will be held in two stages, with nominees first competing in regional categories, and regional winners advancing to compete for the national award in their respective categories.
