Petrol and diesel price cuts bring relief at the pumps

All grades of petrol and diesel have become cheaper from today.
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources announced the changes on Monday, which include a cut of as much as 57 cents a litre for diesel.
The petrol price has decrease by four cents a litre, while illuminating paraffin decreased by 49 cents.
The decreases are as a result of lower global oil prices and a stronger rand against the dollar.
Independent Economist Elize Kruger has welcomed the changes as good news for consumers saying this will help to keep inflation under control.
