Pre-qualified bidders will be announced by 15 December, with final proposals expected next year.
Treasury, together with the World Bank, is also finalising a new credit guarantee vehicle to support infrastructure financing.
The government says aligning the projects will boost transparency and investor confidence in energy reforms.

SAPS continues with recruitment of police trainees

The South African Police Service is continuing with the recruitment of five-thousand-five-hundred police trainees, inviting thousands of applicants across all nine provinces to undergo psychometric and integrity assessments.
Police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk says the multi-phase process includes physical fitness, vetting, and medical examinations.
She says preference is given to graduates with NQF six+ qualifications and driver’s licences. Van Wyk says training is expected to begin in 2026, with exact dates to be confirmed by SAPS:
