Fourways residents can look forward to a greener suburb as Johannesburg City Parks begins planting 3 000 trees along Winnie Mandela Drive.
The initiative, stretching from Uranium Road to the N14, is part of the city’s broader Arbor Month programme.
Local businesses, community members, and the Fourways Improvement District are partnering to support the project.
Planting is scheduled to officially start on November 6 after months of delays. Indigenous species being planted include Brush Cherry, Carob Tree, Wild Plum, White Karee, and River Bushwillow.
The trees will help purify the air, support biodiversity, and create a healthier, greener environment for residents.
