The fourth annual Senior Citizen Luncheon in Orange Farm, organised by the Duze family, celebrated the wisdom and resilience of local seniors.
Guests from Eldorado Park, Ennerdale, Westbury, Orange Farm, and surrounding areas enjoyed a full day of activities, including breakfast, haircuts, massages, lunch, and live music.
A highlight for many was a helicopter ride, sponsored by the Maziya Group, giving 100 seniors the chance to fly for the first time. While some soared with excitement, others enjoyed the festivities on the ground.
Community sponsors and volunteers came together with the Duze family to honour seniors, providing a day of relaxation, entertainment, and memorable experiences.

DUT student shines at Canadian film festival

Durban University of Technology student Lindani Msibi has earned international recognition after his short film *Amanzi* won Best Editing at the Canada Mobile International Film Festival. The 26-year-old from Newcastle outshone entries from ten countries, with the film also nominated for cinematography and best mobile film.
Amanzi tells the story of a woman haunted by ancestral spirits, reflecting the balance between faith, culture, and renewal. Msibi credits DUT for nurturing his creativity and says the experience proves that local stories can make a global impact.
He is now developing a new short film and hopes to expand Amanzi into a feature, continuing to tell stories rooted in South African identity.
