Officials say the SAHRC continues to educate, investigate, and hold power accountable, aiming to strengthen democracy and protect citizens’ rights nationwide.

Western Cape gears up for major investment summit

The Cape Town International Convention Centre is preparing to host the first-ever Western Cape Investment Summit next week.
The three-day gathering aims to unlock investments worth up to R446 billion across more than 100 projects.
The summit will bring together investors and government to explore opportunities in technology, green energy, agribusiness, tourism, and other key industries. It also promises faster approvals and direct engagement with decision makers to speed up investment deals.

Zimbabwe assists Botswana with ARV shipment

Zimbabwe has sent a consignment of anti-retroviral drugs to Botswana to help ease temporary shortages in Gaborone. The shipment, partly donated and partly a loan, was dispatched under a bilateral arrangement and has already arrived, stabilising Botswana’s ARV supply chain.
Botswana’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe expressed appreciation for the gesture, highlighting the solidarity between the two neighboring countries.
The shipment also reflects Zimbabwe’s growing pharmaceutical and logistics capacity, with new facilities and local manufacturing boosting the country’s ability to support regional health needs.
