Anande Kuse has graduated from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology with an Advanced Diploma in Film Production, while also excelling in sport and building a growing career in film.Raised in Nyanga in the western cape, she discovered table tennis through a school programme and went on to represent South Africa at the ITTF African Youth Championships in Tunisia. She also won two bronze medals at the USSA Table Tennis Championships. Alongside her sporting achievements, Kuse has been developing her film career. She worked as a stunt performer in Cape Town last March on the Hollywood production Children of Blood and Bone, which is set for release in 2027 and features actors such as Damson Idris, Viola Davis, and Idris Elba.

Qha we kazi Mazaleni Miss South Africa 2025 has continued her work beyond pageants, focusing on inclusive education and youth support through her project Empower Youth Africa. During a visit to Mamelodi, she read to learners at Tshego fatsong Special School as part of Autism Awareness Month, using her isi Xhosa children’s book Ama sele Amdaka.
The visit helped highlight how children on the autism spectrum learn and why schools need to better understand and support their needs. Mazaleni says reading and learning should be accessible to all children, including those who learn differently.

Eastern Cape Fashion Week has featured emerging designers through runway shows and exhibitions in Gqeberha, giving them space to present collections, meet buyers, and connect with mentors.The programme includes workshops aimed at training young designers and helping them build sustainable brands, while also creating opportunities to sell and promote their work. EC Fashion Week Director, Namhla Fihla says their goal is to grow the region’s fashion industry by attracting investment and expanding market access for local talent.
