Pre-loved toys and books donated to support early learning
Story 1
Pre-loved toys and books have been donated to the Domino Foundation to support early childhood development across South Africa.
The donation comes from Jamaica Francis, who cleared out her children’s cupboards and brought the items to 34 partner pre-schools.
The Durban-based Foundation says playing with toys helps young children explore, role-play and develop skills like communication, problem-solving and self-expression.
Staff add that these donations are especially important for children with limited access to books and educational materials at home, making play a vital part of preparing them for school.
