The City of Johannesburg launched the Golf4Change Jozi 50th commemoration golf day at the Soweto Country Club in Pimville on 30 May.
The golf day, scheduled for 19 June, forms part of Youth Month activities marking 50 years since the 1976 Soweto Uprising.
City officials, sports figures, and young golfers attended the launch to promote youth development and participation in sport.
The initiative will use the golf day to support youth-focused programmes aligned with the city’s social development goals.
