Joburg launches Golf4Change commemoration golfday

The City of Johannesburg launched the Golf4Change Jozi 50th commemoration golf day at the Soweto Country Club in Pimville on 30 May.
The golf day, scheduled for 19-June, forms part of Youth Month activities marking 50-years since the 1976 Soweto Uprising.
City officials, sports figures, and young golfers attended the launch to promote youth development and participation in sport.
The initiative will use the golf day to support youth-focused programmes aligned with the city’s social development goals.

The Northern Cape government has secured R10 million through this year's Premier's Golf Day held in Kathu.
The funds will go towards the Premier's Bursary Programme, which provides financial assistance to students from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing tertiary studies across the country.
Now in its fourth year, the fundraising initiative has generated millions of rand since its launch in 2023, helping young people access qualifications in scarce and critical skills sectors.
