Joburg launches Golf4Change commemoration golfday

The City of Johannesburg launched the Golf4Change Jozi 50th commemoration golf day at the Soweto Country Club in Pimville on 30 May.
The golf day, scheduled for 19-June, forms part of Youth Month activities marking 50-years since the 1976 Soweto Uprising.
City officials, sports figures, and young golfers attended the launch to promote youth development and participation in sport.
The initiative will use the golf day to support youth-focused programmes aligned with the city’s social development goals.

Northern Cape raises R10 million golfday

Craig Randall led the Tigers and was named most valuable player after a strong performance in a closely contested final.
The match marked a historic moment as two Sub-Saharan African teams met in the championship game for the first time.
Behind the win is Tanzanian coach Henry Mwinuka, who spent 11 years in Rwanda winning six league titles with three clubs before RSSB Tigers gave him his first BAL coaching opportunity:

BMW deploys humanoid robots in factories

Automaker BMW has begun introducing humanoid robots into its car manufacturing operations in Europe, following a test phase at its Leipzig factory.
The company says two robots from Hexagon Robotics will be deployed later this year to handle tasks such as feeding parts to machines and assisting in battery assembly.
The robots have been trained using factory simulations and human-controlled testing systems and are designed to operate alongside existing automated production lines.
Other automakers, including Toyota and Hyundai, are also testing humanoid robots for use in vehicle manufacturing.
