Fuel Price Has brought Relief to Motorists
Story 2
Petrol and diesel prices have dropped by up to 16% over the past year, offering real relief to Gauteng motorists and businesses.
Unleaded 95 now costs R4.09 less per litre inland than it did in May last year, while diesel is down by over R3 per litre.
The savings are helping not just drivers, but also those moving goods and working in agriculture and transport.
According to the latest unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund, petrol prices could fall by around 20 cents per litre, and diesel by 50 cents per litre in June.
Lower oil prices and a steady rand are driving the decline, easing pressure on fuel and food costs alike.
