The City of Ekurhuleni is inviting primary school learners to take part in a drawing competition that promotes energy-saving and renewable energy awareness through art.
Learners will create freehand posters sharing their own ideas about energy efficiency, with schools across the metro encouraged to participate.
The city says the focus is on originality, with AI, teachers and parents not allowed to assist.
Prizes totalling twenty thousand rand are up for grabs.
Entries open on the first of February and close on the sixth of March.

Colleagues, neighbours, and commuters remember David for his daily greetings, joyful energy, and warm personality that brightened everyone’s day. A flower memorial has been created outside the MultiChoice offices, and messages of love and remembrance continue to pour in from across the country.
The funds will go toward funeral and memorial costs, and immediate support for his family. David’s impact, as one person said, is “no status, no title, just an incredible human who made a real difference every day.”

The Field Band Foundation has been inducted into the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame, one of the highest honours in the global marching arts community.
The Woodmead-headquartered organisation was recognised for more than 25 years of developing young South Africans through music, performance and leadership programmes.
Based in the United States, the Hall of Fame acknowledges groups that advance excellence, community upliftment and international cultural exchange.
The award was formally accepted at a ceremony in the Pennsylvania.
