Through their partnership, supported by Umatter, children receive life-changing laser therapy at Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital every Friday.
This innovative treatment uses advanced fractional laser technology to soften and reshape thick scar tissue, easing pain and improving mobility.
The treatment restores confidence, movement, and joy to young burn survivors, going beyond just a medical procedure.
One parent, Tebogo Motukisi, was so inspired by the programme that she is now involved with the Smile Foundation and Umatter, offering guidance and emotional support to other families navigating similar journeys.

Agriculture grows 1.1% in Q3 2025

Agriculture minister John Steenhuisen has welcomed the latest Statistics SA data that shows the country’s agriculture has grown an additional 1.1-percent in gross value in the third quarter of 2025.
This follows a 2.5-percent growth in the second quarter.
