Heidi van der Merwe, a liver cancer survivor from Paarl, South Africa, has begun a solo motorcycle journey across Africa to raise awareness about the disease.
Diagnosed while pregnant, she is the only known survivor of her type and the world’s second-longest liver cancer survivor.
Riding her Harley-Davidson with her dog, Harley, she aims to educate communities about liver cancer, promote prevention, and inspire others facing similar challenges.
