Parliament is this week hosting the 11th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit in Cape Town.
The summit will unite leaders from G20 countries to discuss global issues and promote solidarity, equality, and sustainability.
According to Parliament, the P20 Summit will serve as a platform to promote shared responsibility and historical accountability, while promoting new partnerships for Africa's sustainable development.
It is also aimed at boosting partnerships between South Africa and other countries to shape global policies.

The City of Cape Town is gearing up to launch Transport Month on October 1, with a strong emphasis on road safety.
The Urban Mobility Directorate will engage residents through various platforms--- to promote responsible road-sharing practices and reduce the high number of road fatalities in the Western Cape.
Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas has emphasized that the safety of road users has decreased significantly over the past few years, making it crucial to educate and inform road users on how to stay safe, especially during the festive season.
Throughout Transport Month, the Urban Mobility team will host a series of road safety awareness events across Cape Town.
